The CatchStop
The CatchStop is our magnetic panel catch that works just as well on patio & bi-folding doors. Although it's not intended as a hard impact doorstop (check out the rest of our range if that's your concern) or for retention in high winds, we think you'll be impressed by our strongest magnet yet.
Doors, gates, bifolding doors, stable gates and much more can all benefit from a CatchStop. It's manufactured to the same high standards as the rest of the range so you can be confident it's up to the job but if you'd like any advice on the best stop for your particular application then don't hesitate to contact us.
The Standard CatchStop pair is 65mm x 30mm, they are bought as a unit pair (2 x 31mm) but work best fitted both top & bottom as seen below, they're available from stock in both black & dark grey and can be bought online.
Due to customer demand, we have also introduced Catchstop Medium & Catchstop Micro (both also available in white) and measuring 38mm (2 x 19mm) and 47mm (2 x 23.5mm) respectively.
The internal magnets in our CatchStops are N52 Neodymium, giving an incredible strength and superior hold in high winds.
To reduce the impact when doors bang together, our CatchStops are also fitted with clear pads on both ends of the CatchStop to cushion the blow. Just another way that makes our stops the best in the market!

Fitting Instructions
- Position the swinging door at the place you want it to stop
- Offer up the CatchStop assembly to the position you're going to mount it, if using a pair of Catchstops then have both magnetically linked
- Before attaching the fixings, check that the mounting point for the other end of the pair of stops is equally suitable
- Unscrew back plate (backplates are fitted with doublesided tape to make locating & fixing easier) and attach using suitable fixings
- Screw in & tighten the 3mm anti-rotation grub screw. (For hard materials, you may need to make a small pilot hole with a thin 1.5mm/2mm drill)
- Screw on the outer sleeve
- With the opposite catch magnetically fixed to the catch that's just been fitted, offer the door up to its resting point. Use the stickypad to help identify the mounting point of the second catch by where it touches down
- Repeat above steps to affix this second catch in position
